MOMENTUM
Settle property fairly and calmly without starting a fight or endless back-and-forth
Private coaching for when you’re sorting out your finances after separating and you want to move this forward properly.
Your free, 30-minute confidential call, with no preparation needed.
You just want to finish this chapter with fairness, calm and your head held high
You’re navigating separation. You’re the one trying to keep things civil. And you’re the one carrying the mental admin of a property settlement.
You don’t want to escalate anything, but you’re in a holding pattern.
You want it done right. Not rushed. Not decided by someone else.
You need a property settlement that’s fair and reflects the life you’re building from here. And you need a structure that makes progress inevitable.
This is for you.
For when you're sorting out your own property settlement
You can be the well-prepared decision maker
who communicates clearly, makes proposals and negotiates fairly to get your own property settlement finalised.
MOMENTUM is for you
You and your former partner want to keep your relationship amicable and mostly work it out for yourselves, but you’re thinking, “I don’t want to miss anything” or give away too much.
You’re not convinced you actually know what “fair” is yet and you don’t want to find out later you agreed to something on shaky foundations.
The money conversation is being avoided and you’re tired of chasing.
You want decisions about how things will be paid for, including children’s expenses as they move into young adulthood.
You’ve spoken to a lawyer or made enquiries and been shocked by the likely cost, so you want to prepare properly and then use the time with them wisely.
You’re already in lawyer-led negotiations but it’s not moving and you’d prefer to come back to the table with a clearer plan, possibly in mediation, where you both can be supported through a structured process.
Your goal:
An agreement that is fair, lawyer-ready and aligned with the life you’re building.
I'LL HELP YOU KEEP IT CALM AND PRACTICAL WITH:
Numbers you trust, words that lower the heat and effective, safe negotiation
So you can walk into each conversation as the calm, prepared decision-maker. From our work together, you’ll:
01 Have a complete Settlement Ledger, with a clean balance sheet you can share with your former partner or your lawyer.
02 Create your written Contributions and Future Needs Summary so nothing can be minimised.
03 Define your options and parameters, including a Plan B (and C).
04 Build settlement scenarios that reflect your needs and your life.
05 Use the Offer Ladder and Counter-Offer Protocol so you’re not improvising under pressure.
06 Prepare scripts and phrases so you can hold your ground without a fight and move conversations towards decisions.
07 See visible, documented progress instead of going round in circles.
08 Persuasively present proposals and come to an agreement you can take to a lawyer for advice and finalising.
I'm Marnie your calm strategist
Why a mediator as coach
I work with busy people who want a fair property settlement. Often, you’re trying to do this on your own, wanting to establish firm foundations, carefully consider options and negotiate something reasonable.
My job is to make that safer and more effective.
I’ve seen smart, capable people feel steamrolled by process and stress. Preparation and a strategy changes that.
When you walk into conversations prepared with accurate foundations, your contributions properly articulated, your boundaries defined and a proposal process you’ve rehearsed, you hold your ground calmly, communicate clearly and you’re far less likely to agree to something simply to keep the peace.

MOMENTUM
A 6-week evidence-backed pathway to a property settlement where you're the one designing your life
MOMENTUM is a focused, six-week coaching container where I work with you to move from avoiding the money conversations to making clear, workable agreements. The kind you can confidently take to a lawyer to formalise.
Most property settlements don’t stall because people don’t know the numbers. They stall at the start when conversations feel loaded, nobody wants to go first and nothing gets put in writing.
So we begin there.
Over the six weeks, you’ll build the foundations and the proposal pathway to actually move things forward.
I’ll also guide you through the same principles the Court uses to decide property settlements so you can also speak to those confidently.
This means you walk into any conversation with a plan, a way to start and the words to keep it calm and productive.
Supported by psychology-informed decision and negotiation tools and in-the-field experience.
INSIDE MOMENTUM
We work with my Grounded Agreement Method. The preparation-first approach designed for when you want to make your own decisions about your life and negotiate your property settlement with integrity.
MAP
See the whole picture
Map the full property picture to present what exists, how it fits together and what needs to be accounted for.
This is where we build your Settlement Ledger, organise disclosure and spot gaps and assumptions so you’re not negotiating in the dark.
We also document your contributions (financial and non-financial) in a way that is accurate, structured and hard to minimise.
WEIGH
Test the What-Ifs
Use structured decision tools to consider options, trade-offs and future impacts.
We look beyond percentages to the practical outcomes and the shape of life after separation including what supporting children into adulthood can actually require.
Think in ranges, not rigid positions, so you can stay agile, have more expansive, productive conversations and negotiate more cleverly.
DECIDE
Choose how to live
Clarify your non-negotiables and movement zones.
This is where you stop wavering toward agreement just to get it over and done with.
Make decisions deliberately, not under pressure or in reaction to someone else’s agenda.
ENGAGE
Hold the hard conversations well
This is where you move from “thinking about it” to movement.
You’ll use:
The Offer Ladder, the structured way to make proposals that are calm, clear and progressively firmer.
The Counter-Offer Protocol, the repeatable way to respond to counter-offers, pressure, stalling or last-minute changes.
And practice scripts and boundaries that feel like you.
FORMALISE
Turn agreement into a safe document
Understand what your lawyer needs to draft and formalise your agreement.
Arrive with a clear brief, defined choices and questions ready so you’re paying for legal strategy, not admin.

Answering Your Questions
Do I have to get a lawyer? I don't want to rack up legal bills.
You must have legal advice to finalise a property settlement and I’ll encourage you at key points to take your paperwork and questions to a lawyer. You’ll show up with your Settlement Ledger complete, your options defined, your proposal approach clear and your questions ready. The preparation you do here is the clever way to make sure your time with them is spent on legal strategy and not admin, keeping your legal costs proportionate while getting an agreement that is safe and properly formalised.
I don't have time, there is already too much on my plate.
If you feel overwhelmed, this is the framework for you. We step out the process into doable steps with one call, one targetted checklist, one action at a time.
I'm wondering, can I really get a settlement done?
This is designed specifically for people like you, who don’t have the answers yet but do have skills and desire to communicate and negotiate towards an agreement. You need a plan and a new approach.
I'm worried the other parent will dominate the conversations
You’ll practice holding the line, calmly and clearly, with scripts and boundaries that feel like yours and built on accurate foundations.
Is this confidential?
Yes. I do not reveal anything you say to me. You’ll have your own private and secure client portal and discreet, responsive communication only with me.
I don’t live in Sydney. Can I still work with you?
Yes, you certainly can. My services are available remotely, by phone and on zoom, depending on what suits you best.
What if talk really stalls
Most clients resolve themselves but if you’ve already gone as far as you feel is possible and you want a neutral facilitator, I offer fixed fee Mediation. Book a call. We can discuss what you’re dealing with and I’ll give you options and help.
Do you have other questions?
I would love to chat with you. Write to me at he***@*************om.au and I’ll get back to you quickly. We can also talk on the phone so book a time for me to call you by going here for my calendar: Let’s talk.
